Extreme Networks has announced that it has been selected by Liverpool Football Club as the Official Wi-Fi Network Solutions Provider and Wi-Fi Analytics Provider under a multi-year partnership.

Extreme Networks said the rollout of these technologies at Liverpool’s Anfield stadium will begin later this year.

As part of the deal, Extreme will equip Anfield with 6E Wi-Fi hotspots to provide the latest generation of wireless connectivity and allow fans to take advantage of digital amenities such as mobile ticketing and concessions. It will also provide Liverpool FC with the infrastructure to deploy new innovative and immersive services such as AR/VR in the future.
