I’m a super Old Navy fan and you can save up to $15 on their best pair of jeans
An Old Navy super fan has revealed how you can save up to $15 on the brand’s best pair of jeans.
Rycki, known as happyhippierycki on TikTok, used the video-sharing app to share an “Old Navy hack”.
The TikTok user – who describes herself as “a future doctor who loves picking up heavy objects” – shared a helpful shopping tip in a 37-second video clip.
Next to Rycki’s video, posted to TikTok in April 2021, read the caption: “**Warning: Old Navy hack!!** Let me know what you save on!” #oldnavy #hack #savemoney #jeans #summer »
The video begins with Rycki holding a shopping bag as she explains in her voiceover, “An Old Navy money hack you didn’t know you needed.”
“We obviously love Old Navy, they have the cutest jeans and I’m going to feel super trendy this summer and can’t wait to wear them.”
She continues: “But sometimes paying full price is not really something we want to do.
“So today when I went to the store and bought my jeans, the high waisted super high straight fit was originally $50 and the high waisted loose straight fit was originally $45 $.”
Rycki then recommends anyone shopping in-store at Old Navy to first check the website’s prices online.
According to the Old Navy super fan, prices will “most likely be cheaper” online.
To get the lowest price, Rycki says, “Tell the cashier and he’ll honor it for you.”
She insists it’s an “easy way to save money”.
After showing the cashier the difference between in-store and online prices, Rycki says she only had to pay $35 for each pair of jeans, totaling $76.02 for both pairs after taxes.
In response to her post, another TikTok user commented, “The cashier always told me I should buy online to get the lowest price.”
Rycki responded by saying she had never seen a cashier fail to honor an online price.
The commenter followed two days later and said: “Went in today to stock up on flip flops and they are cheaper online.
“And he said he could match the price!! So glad they changed their ways!!”
Claim a store credit
Meanwhile, thousands of customers can claim credits as clothing brand Old Navy has alleged wrongdoing.
Shoppers who visited recently have until May 31 to claim their store credit.
Old Navy store credits come in the form of certificates.
In late 2021, the clothing brand was accused of providing false pricing information.
The notice said Old Navy was misleading customers about prices in stores and outlets across the country.
Old Navy denies any wrongdoing.
However, the company agreed to provide buyers with a certificate of settlement purchase.
The certificates are single-use vouchers valid for one year.
