Metro will offer free bus, train and bike rides on Bike to Work Day this Thursday

In commemoration of Bike Month, Metro will be offering free rides for everyone on all Metro bus and train lines on Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 19.

Metro Bike Share also offers free 30-minute rides all day on Bike to Work Day. To redeem your free ride on May 19, select 1-Ride at any kiosk, online or in the Metro Bike Share app and enter code 051922 to redeem. This code is valid on May 19 only and can be used multiple times throughout the day. A credit or debit card is required. Electric subway bike fees are also waived. A temporary authorization hold may apply for newsstand purchases.

Plus, on Bike to Work Day, riders can get one of the best deals of the year and sign up for a 365-day Metro Bike Share pass for just $75 with promo code BIKETOWORK22 (a saving of 50%). Claim this promotion online, in the Metro Bike Share app or at taptogo.net/metrobikeshare.

Metro Bike Share will be celebrating Bike to Work Day at its Union Station West Portal location at 800 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles. Located at the southwest corner of Parking Lot B at Union Station West, the celebration event welcomes downtown LA commuters with free coffee, pastries and treats from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, 19 may. The Metro Bike Share program offers 24/7 service. and currently has over 200 stations throughout LA County, including Downtown LA, Central LA, Hollywood, North Hollywood and Westside.

Combining your bike trip with Metro Bus and Rail is easy. All metro buses are equipped with bike racks at the front. Bicycles can also be taken on metro trains during all hours of the system. Follow the signs to the designated train area and hold on with your bike.
