Gregg, United States Men’s National Team Soccer Coach Berhalter unequivocally welcomed the new collective agreements concluded by the United States Soccer Federation with the men’s and women’s national teams. The agreements grant male and female players the same compensation for Game appearances, pooled world Cup bonus money and equal distribution of broadcast and sponsorship revenue.

I think it’s amazing“, Berhalter said in his first comments on the CBAs, while appearing to Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything Party on Wednesday morning. “We have set a marker not only for the conditions in our country, but for the world of football, then hopefully for the world of sport, and then hopefully for the world in general. And I think it’s a really big the step we have taken, to get it done. I’m proud of both the men’s and women’s teams for closing the deal, proud of the Federation for being the standard bearer with this type of movement.

Among other terms was a guarantee that US Soccer would provide venues and field surfaces of equal quality and training resources. The federation announcement also noted improved conditions for player health and safetythere and data privacyalthough details were not immediately available.

I myself have three daughters, and they grandw up and they’ve watched the women’s national team, and they’re amazed at the level at which they consistently perform“, Berhalter mentioned. And to believe that there is hope to make a career out of it creates extra motivation to train those overtime hours, to fight to keep progressing and improving.
